For the first time in years the presenters "look genuinely bothered," on The Grand Tour, according to a TV critic.
The first episode of The Grand Tour was released last night on Amazon Prime, the first TV show Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have presented together since Top Gear.
Toby Earle, a TV critic at London Live, told Julia Hartley-Brewer that Amazon won't release viewing figures; unless it's so popular "it disables Amazon’s servers." However, they will be happy if they can capture just "10% of those people" around the world who watched Top Gear previously.
He said Amazon "really have thrown money at this," adding that "Top Gear became extremely lazy in the later years." For the first time in around five series, Earle said, the presenters "look genuinely bothered."
