A two-year-old boy is the latest victim identified in the Grenfell Tower disaster.

Jeremiah Deen was confirmed to have died in the tower blaze, alongside his mother Zainab Deen. 

Both are believed to be nationals of Sierra Leone. 

Jeremiah and Zainab's family have released a statement via the Metropolitan Police to confirm their deaths. 

The statement made clear the family's wish to "express our heartfelt appreciation" to their friends and relatives for the prayers, condolences and floral tributes made to the two victims. 

The family also confirmed funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date, as plans to lay both mother and son to rest are currently being made.
