Harvey Weinstein is planning a lawsuit against his former company.
The disgraced producer is suing The Weinstein Company (TWC) in order to obtain emails, which he believes will clear his name of the allegations of sexual harassment and assault he faces.
Weinstein was sacked from the company – which he helped to found – after the allegations of sexual harassment became publicly known.
In the wake of the original report from The New York Times earlier in October, more women and actresses have come forward with their claims.
The action was filed in Delaware, and it demands for TWC to allow the producer access to the emails, which he claims will help to exonerate him.
Weinstein is under criminal investigation for allegations of sexual assault from police forces in New York, Los Angeles, and London.
More than 60 women, including actresses like Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow, have made claims of sexual harassment against him.
The producer has denied all instances of alleged non-consensual sex.
