Twitter has gone for the throat of Metro Online over an article published this morning about Ian Brady.
Brady, jailed in the 1960s for killing at least five people in the Moors Murders, recently revealed his views on Brexit in a series of Christmas cards which were obtained by the Metro website. In the cards, he said "the judges must not block the peoples' vote."
The first edited version of the online article referred to him as a "high-profile celebrity", which has drawn fury from Twitter users around the UK.
