If Labour and the Liberal Democrats had worked with us, Jeremy Corbyn might have won the general election, says Green Party co-leader Jonathan Bartley.
He told Julia Hartley-Brewer that the Greens knew the party would "take a hit" in the general election as "there was a lot of tactical voting" taking place.
"We wrote to Jeremy Corbyn, we wrote to Tim Farron right at the beginning of the campaign and said 'can we talk about how we can make this work,'" Bartley said. "Sadly they didn't come and talk to us.
"If we had had a more concerted effort, [and a] better arrangement [with Labour and the Liberal Democrats], we might now see a Labour government that was forming power and right now going to Buckingham Palace."
He also said the fact the DUP will be part of the next Government, shows "the irony of our broken electoral system. Yes we got about half a million votes, for that we get one MP.
"The DUP got about half that amount and they are going to be calling the shots for the next government."
