Joe Bartley has spoken to Yasmeen Khan about his new job after the widespread media attention after the lengths he went to in order to get a job.
The pensioner has now got a job in a cafe in Devon following his placement of an ad in the Herald Express, saying he was "dying of boredom" and wanted a job.
He told Yasmeen Khan he couldn't believe how much media attention he's received, and spoke more about why he wanted to be active in a job.
"I'm gobsmacked by the attention I've receiving," he told Yasmeen Khan. "In the job, it's a happy crew, with people to talk to.
"I live in a top floor flat, and once you get into it, there's nobody there. My wife died two years ago, and there's nobody to talk to, nobody to relate to.
"I also want to pay my own rent, and not rely on housing benefit."
