Of all the tweets to have been published for International Women's Day, many will view this as the most eye-catching.
Donald Trump, a folk demon for millions of feminists around the world, has tweeted that he "has incredible respect for women."
Mr Trump sent two tweets from his ever-prolific account this morning, to mark the key date in the feminist calendar.
He wrote in his first tweet: "I have tremendous respect for women and the many roles they serve that are vital to the fabric of our society and our economy."
This was followed up by a second missive, in which the new US President said: "On International Women's Day, join me in honoring the critical role of women here in America & around the world."
Many will view Mr Trump's words with skepticism, to put it mildly, given his "grab her by the p***y" remarks which generated such a storm of controversy during the US election campaign, not to mention the allegations of sexism laid at his door by former beauty queen Alicia Machado.
Feminists and women's rights campaigners have been among the most ardent opponents of Mr Trump's presidency, taking part in women's marches across America and in several other countries.
