A suicide bomber dressed as a woman has killed 14 people, officials have said.

Iraqi authorities in Baghdad said the attack happened at a camp which houses those displaced after Isis took over certain areas.

A police officer died in the attack, as the perpetrator embraced him before letting off explosives, according to The Independent.

Councillor Taha Abdul-Ghani said 20 people were injured in the attack which happened on Sunday (July 2) in Anbar.

At the time authorities were said to be helping families who had left the Islamic State-held town of Qaim.

No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, however some people suspect it was Isis.

It appears that Isis are conducting many of these types of attacks as the group seems to be facing defeat in Mosul.

An Iraqi officer also said that a few hours before this attack, another also took place, as two female suicide bombers hid amongst civilians who were fleeing in order to target Iraqi troops.

They killed one soldier and injured several others.
