Islamic State has claimed the credit for an attack on the Iraqi embassy in Afghanistan on Monday morning.
The establishment in Kabul came under attack when a suicide bomber detonated his explosives right outside the entrance.
Le Figaro is reporting there were also two other attackers attempting to gain entry to the diplomatic precinct.
The country's ministry of interior affairs originally confirmed to Agence France-Presse there had been explosions, but hadn't originally said what the blasts had been targeting.
At least four explosions, as well as gunfire and grenades, were reported to have heard in the incident.
Images on social media show a great plume of thick black smoke rising over the area.
