Tuesday, August 27, 2019

Jeremy Corbyn has triumphed in a talkRADIO poll that asked listeners to choose between a Corbyn government or a hard Brexit.

More than 47,000 people voted on Facebook, with 61 per cent supporting the Labour leader and 39 per cent choosing a hard Brexit.

The vote sparked considerable discussion, with more than 1,700 comments that offered a diverse range of views.

Brian Gatward said: “We voted leave. So we must leave... all of it... totally. Corbyn as UK’s PM? Never under no [sic] circumstances.”

Drew Vivian said: “Let’s just leave, then a lovely general election to test the public’s love for Boris shall we? Secure the next four years under a Tory government.”

Muhammad Hamzah said Mr Corbyn would be a “real leader” who could lead the country out of the Brexit “mess”.

Further polls will be posted on talkRADIO’s Facebook page in the lead-up to the October 31 Brexit deadline.
