George Galloway has said Jeremy Corbyn is like Winston Churchill just before he became Prime Minister and claims Britain is in peril.
Theresa May and Jean-Claude Juncker have both said Brexit negotiations need to speed up, however there is still no sign of trade talks getting underway.
Galloway said that whilst he was not comparing the current situation with 1940, "in 1940 we had an utterly dysfunctional Prime Minster and and utterly dysfunctional Cabinet and the person who was so obviously, screamingly obviously should be in charge was sitting on in this case not on the other side but on the backbenches.
"So Parliament in its wisdom decided that the Prime Minister had to go and that Churchill had to come in and I’m comparing Corbyn to Churchill in this picture because Britain is in peril in the hands of the Walmington-On-Sea Dad's Army that are negotiating this."
He also added: "We need a general election to elect a Government that has the support of the people to face what it is that we are facing, which is the biggest question since the end of the Second World War."
