Jeremy Corbyn's No.2 John McDonnell insists 'we will win general election'

Early general election: 'We will win', says Labour's John McDonnell

The MP for Hayes and Harlington has confidently declared Labour will win the vote in June

John McDonnell has declared the Labour Party will win the snap general election in June.

The Shadow Chancellor, a close supporter of party leader Jeremy Corbyn, was speaking to Paul Ross about the upcoming vote called by Theresa May.

The MP for Hayes and Harlington blasted the Prime Minister for reneging on her promise to not hold an election until 2020, saying trust would be a key issue in the electoral campaign now.

He implored her to "have a bit of courage" and reverse her decision to not take part in televised debates with Jeremy Corbyn, and declared confidently Labour would win the June vote.
