Following the re-election of Jeremy Corbyn as Leader of the Labour party, Portsmouth councillor John Ferret has quit the party and called for a split for a new party.

John had been a member of the Labour party for 27 years, but felt it was necessary to quit as the party no longer shared the interests of being elected to government.
