Today a total solar eclipse will leave North America in the dark for the first time in 99 years and the event is receiving a mixed reaction online.
Up to 14 states will be under a complete blackout as the moon passes between the sun and the earth.
Millions of people are expected to travel to prime viewing spots in the US to see the eclipse which will take place in the middle of the day, according to The Telegraph.
People in certain areas of Europe, South America and Africa will also be able to see a partial eclipse.
Many on Twitter have reacted by posting images of how an eclipse works, but others have used to opportunity to make jokes.
Some, on the other hand, aren't impressed and can't wait for the phenomenon to be over.
