A German teenager dressed as a "killer clown" was stabbed today in Berlin after attempting to scare a group of young people by brandishing a hammer.

Police in the German capital said another teenager in the group responded by pulling out a knife and stabbing the man, and once he removed the mask, he found that he was a 16-year-old friend of his.

The 14-year-old then gave the wounded young man first aid until the emergency services arrived and took him to hospital, according to ITV.

This is the latest incident in the 'Killer Clown' craze which, since beginning in America, has swept the world.
