Kim Jong-nam's son has appeared on YouTube as concerns about his family grow.
Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was reportedly murdered last month.
In the video which was published on Tuesday, the person believed to be Kim Jong-nam's son said: "My name is Kim Han-sol from North Korea, part of the Kim family. My father was killed a few days ago."
South Korea's intelligence authorities have confirmed that he is Kim Jong-nam's son.
The video was uploaded to a channel run by the Cheollima Civil Defense group, which claims to help North Koreans escape the country.
Han-sol explains that he is with his mother and sister and hopes the situation will improve, Yonhap News Agency said.
He also shows a passport in an attempt to prove his identity, however the details on the passport cannot be seen in the footage.
It is believed the video was created just days after Kim Jong-nam was murdered.
Many have speculated that Kim Jong-nam's family are staying in Macau under China's protection.
