The thieves who pulled off a jewellery heist at Kim Kardashian's Paris apartment likely had "inside information" that she was vulnerable to a home invasion, according to close protection expert and SAS reservist Justin Beddoes.

Reports have claimed Kardashian's bodyguard Pascal Duvier was in a nightclub working for her two sisters when she was robbed of jewellery worth several million dollars in an attack which took place in the early hours of the morning.

The attack happened at Kardashian's apartment in the centre of Paris, which she was visiting for fashion week. The reality star was reportedly in the bathroom when the robbers broke in, dressed as Paris policemen.

Beddoes told Julia Hartley-Brewer security should have been tighter, saying: "Only probably a week before, Kim Kardashian had an incident, a guy tried to bite her on the bum. You'd think they would have stepped up security.

"There was probably inside intelligence that this was an easy target."
