A television advert launched at the start of Ramadan to combat terrorism has gone viral in the Middle East. 

The video - aired by Kuwati telecom company Zain - shows a man building a suicide bomb belt as a young girl is heard telling him of how he had filled cemeteries with children. 

The powerful images then show the man being told to worship his god with love as the singer extends his hand, imploring him to "bomb violence with mercy."

He is challenged by people who represent the survivors of terrorism as the video continues. 

The advert has received praise on Twitter for its powerful scenes.
