If the Labour party was led by Tony Blair today, they would be leading in the polls, claims Blair's former political secretary.
According to The Sunday Times, Tony Blair is getting ready to return to politics, calling Theresa May a "lightweight" and Jeremy Corbyn a "nutter". However, a spokesperson for the former Prime Minister has denied these claims, according to The Sun.
Political strategist John McTernan told talkRADIO's Sam Delaney: “He’ll come back in some way or another – whether it’ll be an actual formal political thing, I doubt it myself.
“People can’t stop talking about him; the minute there’s a story about him, people just want to talk about him," he added. "We are missing his ability to sum up a situation, to lead.
“A Labour party led by Tony Blair today would be leading in the polls against Theresa May."
