At least 14 people have been killed after a bus carrying college students crashed in the Philippines today (February 20).
The driver of the bus lost control and hit an electricity post in a mountainous region, causing the front of the bus to cave in, The Daily Star Lebanon reported.
Several people were injured and 13 students were killed along with the driver, in the incident in the town of Tanay a regional police spokesman said.
Officials reported that 10 students died at the scene, whilst four others including the driver died later in hospital.
There were more than 50 students on the bus at the time of the incident. It had been rented by a Manila private school for a camping holiday.
A police desk officer at Tanay claimed that it appeared the brakes on the bus had failed.
