Julia Hartley-Brewer was rather perplexed by a pro-Remain MP on her show this morning, as they discussed the Supreme Court Brexit case which began today.
The Government has challenged the High Court ruling that lawmakers must be consulted in Parliament before Article 50 can be triggered. The result of the Government's Supreme Court challenge is likely to be heard next month.
When Labour MP Barry Gardiner told Julia that he and the rest of the UK need "clarity" over what Britain's Brexit strategy will look like, Julia had little truck with his claims, pointing out that Labour will not be handling the negotiations and suggesting there's no need for a Labour MP to be informed of the Government's UK's approach.
Gardiner insisted that he and his fellow Remain MPs accept the EU referendum result, but said that "before you have any negotiation, you have to have clarity on what you want."
