Julia Hartley-Brewer clashed with a leading political editor over the time it would take to negotiate trade with the European Union.
The clash came in the wake of a photograph circulating in the press of a memo relating to Brexit with the words 'have cake and eat it'. Many are intrepreting this to be a glimpse of the Government's plans for the upcoming Brexit negotiations.
Ian Dunt, editor of www.politics.co.uk and author of Brexit: What the Hell Happens Now?, spoke with our midmorning host about the memo, but the conversation devolved into an argument when they disagreed over the time required to negotiate a deal with the EU.
Julia asked him why he gets up in the morning with "such a negative view of Britain's ability to do anything".
Listen to it above.
