A woman in south London has been jailed for five years after keeping a Kalashnikov AK47 in her bedroom.

Lynn Ofori Tetteh kept the rifle inside a soil pipe, which was in her locked bedroom inside a wardrobe.

Alongside this were three magazines and almost 500 rounds of ammunition.

Police executed a firearms warrant in April at her home, discovering the gun.

The woman was sentenced last Thursday at Inner London Crown Court, pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
