'A long-line of Westminster toilet issues' - HP Source reveals the latest Parliamentary gossip

HP Source found this sign near the sinks in Parliament

talkRADIO's parliamentary mole has revealed a rather strange sign which has been put up in the toilets in Westminster's corridors of power.

Our insider, known only as 'HP Source' joined Mike Graham and Katie Perrior to give his weekly update about the latest gossip from the ancient legislative chamber.

HP said there's a rather mysterious sign about soil in the Commons WCs. He explained that it was the "latest in a long-line of Westminster toilet issues" as "a couple of years back we had a sign saying could people not put their fingernails in the sinks.

"The soil is a really strange issue because it’s hardly a garden centre here" and "I hope it’s a more innocent explanation because the darker side, as it would be, would be pretty disgusting."

In Parliament "you can come down a corridor and you know when the toilets blocked because you get the smell."

We also got an insight into the culinary delights Britain's lawmakers have been receiving.

This week the canteen is serving "from the wok mussels" which, HP explained for the unenlightened, are "mussels cooked in a wok.

"I think maybe some of the toilet issues might come from the wok."
