Two hikers have been rescued from a Scottish mountain after losing their way in the mist.
They got into difficulty on Criffel, a mountain in Dumfries and Galloway, on Wednesday afternoon, STV reported.
As they were walking down the mountain the cloud descended, causing them to lose their bearings.
The pair then went back to the summit to call for help and Moffat Mountain Rescue came out to find them.
A spokesman said: "As they were near some steep ground, the team advised they should stay where they were while a team member made their way to their location.
"Three team members set off to the summit while further members stood by at the base of the hill in case additional equipment was required."
The team successfully walked the hikers back down the mountain unharmed.
