Passengers waiting to board a plane in Washington reportedly applauded a man after he hit back at a woman who accused him of being in the wrong area because of his skin colour.
The African-American man was queuing in the priority boarding line at Ronald Reagan Washington Airport with a first-class ticket, according to News.com.au.
Music executive Emmit Eclass Walker posted about the incident on Facebook and said a white woman confronted him and allegedly told him "I believe you may be in the wrong place."
It is claimed that she explained the queue was for priority boarding only but Walker is said to have told her that he was in the right place and took his ticket out to prove it.
She then allegedly responded: “He must be military or something, but we paid for our seats so he still should have to wait."
Walker is said to have hit back by saying: “Nope to big to ever be in anybodies military. I’m just a n***** with money (sic).”
Those around the pair are said to have then started to applaud Walker for what he said.
Walker's Facebook post has now been liked more than 670,000 and it has hundreds of comments praising the man.
One commented: “Never judge a book by its cover. She is so ignorant it makes no sense that people like her still exist. Enjoy yourself, you handled it well."
