A man has been injured during a shooting involving police in Brooklyn, New York and a second suspect is still on the run.
At around 1:30am local time plain-clothed police officers heard shots being fired and investigated the area.
Police saw a man running as he was being chased by a man holding a gun, according to CBS New York.
The gunman then fired his weapon and continued running, but he was heading straight for the police officers who were in an unmarked vehicle.
A sergeant got out of the vehicle and fired at least two shots, which injured his leg. The man then dropped his gun and continued to run until he collapsed.
It is not clear whether he fired any shots towards police officers. A .25 caliber hand gun was taken from the scene by police.
The 20-year-old has now been taken to hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.
The second man involved in the incident has not yet been found by police and the investigation is continuing.
