A man has been handed a prison sentence of more than four years after kidnapping his ex's new partner.
Abdul Rahman assaulted a 19-year-old in December 2016 and also threatened him with a gun, according to the Birmingham Mail.
At the time of the attack the victim was alone in his car, before three men got in and told him to drive in Handsworth, Birmingham.
One of the men was Rahman, who was in the passenger seat of the car with a gun, whilst the two others were in the back with a knife.
The victim drove to a petrol station and after an altercation he managed to escape in order to get help.
Later the car was discovered abandoned and the victim's phone and laptop had been stolen.
Police arrested the 21-year-old at a home where officers discovered the bank cards and driving licence of the victim.
The man admitted to the kidnap however he denied possessing a gun. According to Detective Constable Leigh Harrison, at first Rahman denied knowing his victim, however later admitted he did know him when evidence emerged.
