A man died on an underground train in Mexico City on Tuesday - without anyone noticing.

The 70-year-old is believed to have died after suffering heart failure on an underground train through the Mexican capital.

It wasn't until around 11:45pm local time that staff working on the train noticed something was wrong.

Paramedics were called to Pantitlan station, who confirmed the man had been dead for several hours.

His body was taken to a morgue in the city, where relatives were called to identify him.

The man's passing prompted some debate online, with some blasting the indifference which caused people to miss the fact he had died.
