The plane taking Fenerbahce players to Manchester for their Europa League tie against United has been forced to make an unscheduled landing in Budapest.
The club's official Twitter page published a message just before midday on Wednesday, saying a forced land had been made in the Hungarian capital after a bird crashed into the aircraft's windscreen.
The news was accompanied by a selection of images showing the cracked windscreen which forced the plane to make its impromptu stop.
Manchester United replied to Fenerbahce with a tweet from their official account.
Kafilemizi Manchester'a götüren uçağın camına kuş çarpması nedeniyle, uçak Budapeşte'ye zorunlu iniş yaptı. Endişe verici bir durum yok. pic.twitter.com/tYhUWp2omJ

"Wishing you a safe trip for the rest of your journey to Manchester. See you soon!" the message read.
The match takes place at Old Trafford tomorrow night, so the Fener players at least have plenty of time to complete their journey.
