Massive explosion rocks diplomatic area of Kabul

A huge explosion has ripped through Afghanistan's capital of Kabul. 

The blast took place in the diplomatic area of the city, near to the foreign embassies and the presidential palace. 

The cause of the explosion was reported to be a car bomb in Zanbaq Square. 

The Health Ministry has said at least 80 people have died in the blast, with 350 injured. 

Images on Twitter of the incident show a massive cloud of smoke rising into the air, various people covered in blood, and widespread devastation. 

At the moment, no group has claimed responsibility for the blast as police continue to work on the scene.
