Firefighters were forced to battle a major fire in a warehouse in Glasgow this morning.
The fire broke out at the Blochairn Fruit Market in the early hours of Thursday [August 17].
Emergency services were first called to the scene of the market around 3:44am, and roughly 90% of the building was thought to be in flames at one stage. Latest reports suggest the fire has still to be fully extinguished.
Local residents reported hearing explosions, but these reports are unconfirmed.
The large plume of smoke created speed restrictions for the M8 motorway nearby, due to reduced visibility.
There are no reported injuries, and the market's staff have been evacuated.
