Militants threw a grenade at a group of police in India, injuring four officers today (May 31).

The incident happened near a bank in the town of Sopore, Baramulla district, according to The Indian Express.

A series of crimes involving banks and money have recently taken place in the country.

Today in the Anantnag district, a man reportedly stole a cash machine belonging to the State Bank of India.

In the last six months there have been at least 14 other incidents where money has been stolen or banks have been robbed.

The perpetrators have often been armed.
