The launch of the Millennial Railcard "feels like a PR stunt gone wrong", according to a London-based journalist.
Ellie Phillips spoke to Mike Graham and Johnson after the new website for the discounted youth rail scheme crashed, piling fresh embarrassment upon the government and Philip Hammond, who announced the programme in last year's Budget.
Phillips said the railcard scheme was "a plaster on a much larger problem" and Hammond had "tried to woo younger voters" rather than focusing on the issue of rail fares in general.
But Mike pointed out that Philip Hammond doesn't run the website, adding that this was a definition of a first-world problem.
