The director of new political thriller Miss Sloane has explained to talkRADIO the challenge of covering guns in America.

The film covers the most sought-after lobbyist in Washington, Elizabeth Sloane, and will be released next Friday (May 12).

John Madden explained to Julia Hartley-Brewer that the story revolves around guns in America, the most divisive issue in American politics. Madden believes the gun issue from any perspective outside America is baffling, as it defies common sense.

The director also said that the main character Elizabeth Sloane, played by Jessica Chastain, is completely fascinating and completely compelling to watch. The character takes no prisoners and she is faster and sharper than anybody.
