A plane skidded off a runway in India today (September 5), leading to the evacuation of more than 100 people.
The Air India Express Boeing 737-800 plane went off the runway at Kochi airport in south-west India and hit a drain, according to Sputnik News.
Local media said all 102 passengers were then evacuated from the aircraft, which had travelled from Abu Dhabi.
NDTV reported that an airport spokesperson said a ladder was used to evacuate the passengers and there have been no injuries.
Sources suggest the plane came off the runway due to turning too early.
An internal inquiry has now started the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India's aviation regulator, has also begun an investigation.
