A Catholic mother of five is being investigated by police after she called a transgender woman a man on Twitter.
Political commentator Caroline Farrow was contacted by Surrey Police after "misgendering" the daughter of Mermaids charity CEO, Susie Green.
Ms Farrow appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain alongside Ms Green, whose daughter Jackie is transgender, to discuss the Girl Guides' decision to let children who have changed their gender join.
Her Twitter comments were made following the appearance, and she has claimed that Surrey Police want to interview her under caution because of the posts, which date back to September.
The police's investigation is an "outrage", she tweeted on Tuesday, adding: "I can't sleep I am so furious. I don't even remember said tweets! I probably said 'he' or 'son' or something."

Ms Farrow said it was her "religious belief that a person cannot change sex" and that she would "happily do jail time" for her right to say that.
A police spokesman said: "A thorough investigation is being carried out to establish whether any criminal offences have taken place."
