A mother has spoken out about discovering her daughter was being asked for naked photos by someone posing as Justin Bieber.

Alicia Bellette was with her 8-year-old daughter at home when she noticed four notifications on her daughter's iPad from "The Real Justin Bieber," according to The Sun.

They were sent through the app Musical.ly, which is usualy used by people to share their favourite music.

Bellette said: “The first message said ‘Who wants to win a 5 minute video call with me [Bieber]'. The next message said ‘All you need to do is send me a photo of you naked, or of your vagina'.

“I knew it was a professional groomer as soon as the final message popped up, because it was really encouraging her to send a photo.

“It read ‘Lots of girls send me these pics all the time and I will never tell anyone you sent one'.”

The woman then took the iPad to police but they told her the perpetrator could be impossible to find as they could be anywhere in the world.
