Remain MP Barry Sheerman had some scathing words for Nigel Farage and other MPs, after Article 50 was triggered.
Theresa May triggered Article 50 today (March 29), and has therefore started the Brexit process - nine months after Farage and his fellow Brexiteers oversaw a shock victory in the EU referendum campaign.
Talking to Jon Holmes, the Labour MP for Huddersfield said he'd like to tell the former UKIP leader: “You’re history. You’ve done what you’ve done, you’ve not even got one Member of Parliament.
"You can’t even win the best possible by-election to potentially win a seat in Westminster. Go and chop down trees or whatever you do in your part-time."
Sheerman also questioned other MPs for not turning up at Westminster today. He said: “if you are a Member of Parliament and you weren’t in the chamber today to ask a question, what the hell were you doing in Parliament?"
He is concerned about the Brexit ministers, Liam Fox, Boris Johnson and David Davis, whoM he calls the "swashbuckling end of the Conservative party," as they are "not detail guys" and they are "out of their depth."
