Labour MP David Lammy has tweeted a "disgusting" letter of abuse he received, which the sender forced the taxpayer to pay for.
The MP for Tottenham captioned the photo by saying: "If you’re going to send me hate mail and abuse at least please fork out 56p for a 2nd class stamp instead of sending it Freepost.
"Why should the taxpayer pick up the tab for some coward sending such a disgusting letter?"
The letter is handwritten on a piece of notepad paper and accuses the MP of cashing "in on the idiotic British electorate."
It also calls Lammy a "piece of "sh*t" and a "traitor, collaborator, muslim appeaser."
The writer also equates living in England's towns and cities to living "in a 'refugee camp'."
The sender, who appears not to have signed the letter by name, also claims people's hometowns are "swamped with terrorists and disease ridden scum."
