Conservative MP Nadine Dorries has said that her dream ticket for the party leadership would be Boris Johnson as leader and Sajid Javid as Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Ms Dorries told talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer: “I have a dream ticket and it is based not on what I want because I am one MP, and I am one of the few who does not have their eye on the cabinet table.
“I do not have my eye on promotion. I was successful before I came into Parliament.
“Parliament is not my way of proving myself.”
‘He is a witty winner’

Ms Dorries, the Conservative MP for Mid Bedfordshire, added that the British public like him because “he does make mistakes”.
She said: “Because of what I see in Parliament, for me it has to be Boris Johnson as leader and Sajid Javid as Chancellor.
“For me that is a dream ticket because I know Sajid Javid would make an amazing Chancellor and I know Boris is a man of ideas.
“He has won the London Mayoral election twice at a time when Labour were doing well.
“He is what I call a witty winner and yes he is fallible, he does make mistakes but then so do most of the British public.
“I am beginning to discover that is exactly why people like him.”
The former Foreign Secretary resigned in July this year over the Prime Minister’s Chequers plan, saying that the “dream is dying, suffocated by needless self-doubt”.
