Patricia Cornwell's new book on Jack the Ripper has brought the author a torrent of abuse, with the twitterati racing to plunge the knife into the author for her controversial theory.
Cornwell believes the man was painter Walter Sickert, and her new book entitled Ripper: The Secret Life of Walter Sickert maps out the theory.
According to The Telegraph, she spent more than $6 million (£4.8 million) to research the case.
Unfortunately many on Twitter believe there is not enough evidence to prove the case, whilst others believe there's no point in finding the man's real identity, as it happened so long ago.
