Monday, September 19, 2016

The United States Military Academy at West Point, New York has been put on lockdown, after a suspicious vehicle was spotted.

It has been reported that the car entered through a security gate this morning at around 9:30am.

A motorist called police and claimed he had seen a man who could be a suspect for the Manhattan bomb attack, according to Mid Hudson News.

State police are conducting a search of the complex.

Earlier the police claimed they were looking for 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami, a naturalised American citizen originally from Afghanistan, in connection with the Manhattan attacks.

Officials have not provided any further information, and it is not yet clear whether the decision is linked to bombs found in Manhattan and Elizabeth.
