Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will return to our TV screens tonight in a new series of Eamonn and Ruth: How The Other Half Lives, on Channel 5.

The couple explores the lives of the wealthiest people in the world, with the first show following their trip to New York, home to more billionaires than anywhere else in the world.

Holmes revealed more about the show and his views on the very rich in conversation with talkRADIO's Paul Ross.

"If you're going to make it anywhere New York is probably the toughest place," he explained. "These are people making money beyond anyone's wildest dreams, money you can't even spend.

"This is not people doing well in life, this is people who when they're sleeping they are making money.

"They've got to do different things with their money to show how far they can go. It's how people justify their wealth."
