Nick Clegg's former advisor: 'We'll take 14 seats'

Nick Clegg could lose his seat tonight

Nick Clegg's former special advisor says he's still a bit cautious about the Lib Dems' prospects, despite a promising exit poll.

Sean Kemp said the party's "bruising" recent disappointments mean he will continue to err on the side of caution, but he reckons his party would take the 14 seats they're forecast to win in the Ipsos Mori poll.

On the prospect of Clegg losing his Sheffield Hallam seat, Kemp said it would be a "sad way for him to go out" but added that it was always a tough seat for the former deputy prime minister to hold on to.
