Nigel Farage has launched an extraordinary attack on Marine Le Pen's French presidential election rival Emmanuel Macron.
Macron, leader of the En Marche! party, is the only person now standing between Le Pen and the French presidency after they both advanced to the final round.
In the wake of his success, former UKIP leader Nigel Farage took to Twitter to blast the candidate.
He first tweeted this:
And then he followed it up with this:
Farage interviewed Le Pen last month, leading some to speculate that he was an admirer of the French far-right figurehead.
However he refused to countenance an alliance with Le Pen's Front National party while UKIP leader, saying he only wished to affiliate with people or groups "with views that are consistent with classical liberal democracy."
