A prominent pro-Brexit group blasted by Nigel Farage has blasted Emmanuel Macron after his election to high office.
Macron, who is pro-European Union, won the French presidential election, taking the lion's share of the vote in a run-off with Marine Le Pen.
On their Twitter page, Leave.EU released a series of tweets to blast the new president.
The first one was simply a tweet saying "RIP France":
But the next compared the election win to Germany's conquest of France in the Second World War:
Various political figures, including Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, have congratulated Macron on his comprehensive victory over Le Pen in the second round of the French presidential elections last night.
