A 13-year-old girl has been killed after a car was intentionally rammed into a pizzeria in France on Monday night.
The French Interior Ministry confirmed the incident in Sept-Sorts, located 55 kilometres outside of Paris.
A spokesman for the organisation confirmed 12 other people had been wounded, with four in a critical condition.
Local police arrested the driver after the event, and investigators are working to establish a motive.
France has been hit by a number of high-profile terror attacks in the last few years, and counter-terror police were quickly on the scene.
Now, however, the Paris prosecutor has said to CNN there were no signs the incident was related to terrorism.
Some media reports are saying the actions of the man had been an unsuccessful bid to committ suicide, following a previous attempt prior to the incident.
