A group of people on a bus in Honduras beat up a man dressed as a clown after he tried to assault them.

A reporter from Abriendo Brecha news channel said the man had boarded the bus to perform in the hope of earning money from the passengers.

But after he told jokes, passengers did not give him any money as they claimed he was drunk, according to El Heraldo.

Reacting with anger and not receiving any money for his performance, he started to threaten the passengers and tried to steal their belongings.

But a group of people stood up and decided to fight the clown in Copan, Honduras.

He eventually had to be treated for his injuries by the Honduran Red Cross.

The clown was then taken to the police, followed by the Public Prosecutor's Office, to be charged.
