talkRADIO reporter Alex Dibble has described the moving scene as thousands gathered in London for PC Keith Palmer's funeral - and his family laid a touching tribute on the roof of his hearse.
The funeral for PC Palmer has taken place today (April 10) at Southwark Cathedral. He was killed during the Westminster terror attack last month whilst guarding the Houses of Parliament.
Dibble, who was at Southwark Cathedral, told James Max that during the service Palmer "was described as hard-working and honest... he joined the Metropolitan police to make a difference and he made London safer.
"In 2015, we found out that he made more than 100 arrests and PC Keith Palmer was described as a hero to us all.
"The route [of the cortege was] flagged all the way by police officers from all across the country.
"The roads around me were absolutely packed. Thousands and thousands came down, some came specifically for this, others were in central London for another reason and heard the funeral was happening.
"There were flowers on the roof that read number one daddy."
